讲座题目：Homoclinic bifurcation of limit cycles in near-Hamiltonian systems on the cylinder

摘要：In this paper, we study a near-Hamiltonian system on the cylinder. First, we establish some general methods on the existence of limit cycles bifurcating from closed orbits of type II by the Melnikov function method, then we derive the expansions of the first order Melnikov function and consider the bifurcation problem of limit cycles near a double homoclinic loop. As an application, we discuss the number of limit cycles of a class of cylinder pendulum-like systems.

报告人简介：韩茂安，浙江师范大学特聘教授、博士生导师，上海师范大学数理信息学院副院长、数学科学研究所所长。主要从事动力系统理论及应用研究，先后主持完成五项国家自然科学基金项目、教育部的人才支持计划等项目，获2002年度教育部科技进步奖一等奖，2006年度上海市自然科学奖二等奖等。1992年获国务院政府特殊津贴，1994年被授予国家中青年有突出贡献专家称号。美国《数学评论》、 德国《数学文摘》评论员、上海市非线性科学研究会副理事长、上海市数学会理事、国际SCI数学杂志《Disc. and Contin. Dyn. Sys.》(B) 及《Communication on Applied and Pure Analysis》编委等。
